The Coveted Group traces its roots to Los Cabos, on the southern tip of Baja California Sur. It was there that founder Derrick Grahn built the foundation of the organization, opening restaurants, producing events, and developing a deep working knowledge of the region's real estate, hospitality, and design landscape. The company's identity was formed in that environment: hands-on, design-driven, and built around real places rather than abstractions.

Beginning in 2011, The Coveted Group became deeply involved in the real estate at Flora Farms in Los Cabos, one of the region's most recognized lifestyle-driven second-home developments. That involvement continued through 2025 and shaped much of the organization's approach: an emphasis on place, craftsmanship, and long-term stewardship over quick transactions.
